Tell the Senate: Pay Teachers More!

Unfortunately, being a teacher today means doing more work for less pay than your similarly educated peers. In fact, research shows that teachers make 27% less than other college graduates, and one-third of teachers earn less than $60,000 per year.

All teachers deserve to make more money, and the opportunity to advance in their careers without leaving the classroom.

To address this, Senator Bernie Sanders introduced the Pay Teachers’ Act, which would incentivize states to set a minimum $60,000 teacher salary and create innovative career ladders that allow teachers to take on additional responsibilities and roles and receive additional compensation.

We must pay teachers the salaries they deserve. Take action now—send an email to your Senators asking them to support the Pay Teachers Act today!
